The rise and rise of the "Perfectionist"

This is something which I come across quite regularly in my Coaching practice, and for some people their Perfectionist drive serves them well - an Adaptive Perfectionist. More frequently however, this drive and additional pressure is Maladaptive, and serves in fact to scupper all their effors - nothing is ever good enough for them, and the pressure that they pile on themselves seems insurmountable, unsprisingly.

So I was interested to readthis link on Perfectionism in the Guardian online this week.

Is this something you experience or have come across? I'd love to hear from in the comments below.
