The future of best practice recruitment?

I hope by now that most people are converts to the idea that poor recruitment decisions can be hugely problematic and costly, and most organisations that I work with have introduced rigour and best practice - pre-screening, psychometrics, assessment centres, reference checking......the usual!

So  I was really interested to read what others are doing  in an attempt to freshen up their practices while attempting to impress their potential future employees at the same time. Read the Guardian article here.

Now I can't say that I agree with or see the science behind these measures, but I would certainly agree with the need to freshen up what we do, while still keeping the scientific rigour intact.

Let me know what you think of these unorthodox practices in the comments below!
